Kristen Callahan

Kristen grew up on her parents' organic nursery in the Baltimore area, learning from a young age what it takes to make plants happy. Her mother, a well-known local gardening celebrity, helped her gain a sense of the myriad of challenges that go into successfully growing things for a living.

After almost losing everything in the valley fire, Kristen has assumed day to day management and oversight of the 150-acre Magic Meadow Farm, deemed by the local Lake County Authorities as a “Model Farm”, that serves as the location for not only educating new Lake County regulatory and support staff, but also the go to resource for the area's local farmers.

Kristen has won numerous awards not only for the products she has created but for her innate understanding of the ecosystem and how to make it work in harmony through regenerative growing techniques that honor the land and ensure future success.
